July 26, 2012 – General Director & General Designer of JSC MIC NPO Mashinostroyeniya A.G. Leonov took part in a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin dedicated the meeting in Sochi to execution of the State Armaments Program in terms of equipping the Strategic Nuclear Force and the Aerospace Defense Force.
This meeting is a continuation of a series of meetings dedicated to realization of the State Armaments Program.
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said when opening the meeting: «We are not going to enter into the arms race, I talked about this many times, but nobody should doubt reliability and efficiency of our nuclear assets and also means of aerospace defense.
While preparing the State Armaments Program until 2020, we determined which groups of strategic nuclear force and aerospace defense force we need. We intend to allocate significant resources to equip these forces qualitatively and quantitatively from the funds of the State Armaments Program.
I want to underline that all plans need to be executed in time. Due to this, the  share of modern armaments will be 75-80 per cent in the strategic nuclear force by 2020 and not less than 70 per cent in the aerospace defense force».
