July 17, 2012 – Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation D. Rogozin visits the BrahMos office in New Delhi

Dr. Sivathanu Pillai, CEO&MD of JV BrahMos Aerospace, showed a BrahMos mobile autonomous launcher to D. Rogozin and other officials accompanying him, and gave explanation concerning the whole missile system.
He also informed the high-level visitor about the progress and achievements of the joint venture in recent years and about its prospects. A plan of innovative technologies development until 2050 was prepared in order to preserve leading positions in its market segment.
Dr. Pillai stressed the importance of developing new products including the BrahMos hypersonic missile to preserve global leadership and keep the technological lead.
Addressing young scientists of JV BrahMos, D. Rogozin said: «Innovative technologies are shared only with close friends which is typical for our cooperation in BrahMos. India and Russia are great countries, and we can do miracles working together. I wish both nations all the best in the development of future technologies!»
At the end of his visit Dmitry Rogozin noted: «I was glad to see enthusiasm of Indian and Russian specialists who have made the BrahMos project a success. I believe in its bright future as I believe in the future of friendship between our nations».
«BrahMos is not only a prosperous joint venture but also a cooperation model which has a huge political value for both countries», he pointed out.
During his visit, the Deputy Prime Minister was accompanied by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India A.M. Kadakin, Director of Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation A.V. Fomin, head of «Rosoboronexport» A.P. Isaikin, General Director & General Designer of JSC MIC NPO Mashinostroyeniya A.G. Leonov and other officials.
